What this is

InverseOne picks Korean and US stocks with a reason to look at them today and explains that reason in short card stories. We do not list many stocks. We cover a few with a clear reason.

In focus does not mean a price call or a buy recommendation. We pick stocks with a change worth checking, good or bad.

When it comes out

Each edition comes out at 8:30 a.m. on trading days: Seoul time for Korea, New York time for the US. Data closes 30 minutes earlier. Each market gets at most two stocks. If the evidence is thin, we publish one or none. There is no new edition on market holidays.

How we pick

We read filings and attached company releases on OpenDART in Korea and SEC EDGAR in the US. Only five kinds of events qualify.

  • New earnings and major metric changes
  • Changes to outlook or guidance
  • Major contracts, investments and business announcements
  • Dividends, buybacks and capital decisions
  • Material changes in regulation, litigation and business risk

How it is made

Article counts and share-price moves alone do not qualify a stock. We look at whether the fact is new, the evidence clear, the change large and the story understandable. We do not score upside.

Numbers and dates go first into a fact sheet with the original passage. Values we cannot find in the source are dropped. AI writes sentences that explain the fact sheet, and code checks that Korean and English numbers match. If a required number or source is unclear, we do not publish.

Corrections

When we find an error, we fix the text and the cards in both languages and note the time and reason below the story. Cards already saved or posted elsewhere do not update on their own, so please check the address printed on the card.

Prices

We do not show share prices for now. When we have price data we are cleared to use, we will state the trading day and whether it is a regular-session close.
